Domino’s Pizza Japan, Inc.
We sincerely apologize to our customers, our business partners and related parties for the inappropriate conduct by our former employee which occurred on June 4, 2021.
In regards to the individual who had conducted inappropriate behavior and the individual who had posted the video on SNS, they have been standing by at home and we have been doing a hearing session with them. We have confirmed on the facts and they have been dismissed and we consider to take legal actions upon them based on our company regulation as of June 16. We have disposed all cooking utensils that had been used on the day of the incident.
As a company we take this incident seriously. This incident is an inappropriate conduct based on the thoughtlessness of a former employee, however, the management team strongly acknowledges that employee training was not sufficient enough.
Considering this incident, we are currently preparing for the roll out of a re-education program, “National Store Training” in July. All store employees will participate in this training program and we aim to thoroughly train all employees on the handling of food ingredients, store equipment and hygiene management, abiding to the service regulations of the company including usage of SNS, training on labor regulations in order to prevent recurrence of similar incidents. Through this training program, as a company we will do our utmost effort to recover our trust.
